On Tuesday October 14th members of the CFD visited the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic School as part of their 2014 Fire Safety Program.

Over 100 children had the oppurtunity to visit with the firefighters and tour the department's fire safety trailer where they learned about the many dangers in the home.

Children also had the oppurtunity to tour the different fire and rescue apparatus that were on display at the school as well as learn about the many skills and tools that the firefighters and EMT's use.

Over the course of the past week firefighters have had the oppurtunity to educate over 800 children in our local schools and community.

The officers and members of the Cutchogue Fire Department would like to thank everyone who helped make our 2014 Fire prevention programs a success.
