Passing of A Brother: 46 Year Member Jeffrey Smith Answers his Last Alarm

It is with deep regret that the Chiefs announce that 46 year member Jeffrey Smith has answered his last alarm.

Jeff passed away Monday morning at Florida Hospital, after being hospitalized over the past week.

Jeff is the Husband of 49 years to Past Ladies Aux. President Suzie Smith, and Father to Firefighter Timothy Smith, Current Ladies Aux. President Tina Smith and Aux. Member Holly Smith (Haas) and Grandfather to CFD Junior Paul Locascio.

The funeral arrangements are as follows:

Visitation: Saturday August 6th and Sunday August 7th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Coster-Heppner Funeral home located on Route 25 in Cutchogue.

The Cutchogue Fire Department will conduct a Firematic Service on Sunday Evening at 7:30pm. At the Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service with Fire Dept. Honors will be Monday August 8th at 10:00 at Our Lady of Good Council Church located on Route 25 in Mattituck.

Burial will follow at the Calverton National Cemetery.

The Chiefs officers and members of the Cutchogue Fire Department wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Suzie, Daughters Tina, Holly Barbara, Jennifer, His sons Timmy, Scott and entire Smith family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.

May he rest in peace.
