On Saturday April 8th the Cutchogue Fire Department was dispatched to a reported Motor Vehicle Accident on the Nassau Point Causeway. The accident was reported to be a van into a tree, with multiple occupants.

First arriving units found a passenger van that had swerved off the roadway and struck a fire hydrant and small trees before coming to rest.

CFD Firefighters check the vehicle for any hazards and utilized a chainsaw to create access to the vehicle, While EMT"s checked the occupants for any injuries.

The 5 occupants of the van were not injured and refused any medical treatment.

Units were on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
