August 10, 2017

With the Cutchogue Fiure Department's Annual Chicken Barbecue Quickly approaching, we though it would be appropriate to showcase some vintage Barbecue posters from the years gone by.

For 61 years, the members of United Fire Company No. 1, working side by side with the CFD Ladies Auxiliary have hosted this annual fundraising event.

The annual event has grown since its beginning to now serve over 3200 people, and is believed to be Long Island's Largest Chicken Barbecue.

For many families it marks the end of the summer season on the North Fork as it has been traditionally held each years on the weekend before labor day on the last Saturday in August.

This years Barbecue will be held on Saturday August 26th.

LIMITED TICKETS MAY STILL BE STILL AVAILABLE to this years barbecue and are available by stopping at the firehouse or by calling (631)734-6907.

Tickets are $25.00 and includes a Half barbecue chicken, refreshments and all you can eat salads, corn and dessert. Take out dinners are also available.

The CFD would like to thank the community for making this event a 61 year tradition

We are proud of our 89 years of dedicated service to the community. We are always looking for any old & historical articles representing our past for display on our website and in our firehouse.

If any member of the community has any photographs, newspaper clippings or historical artifacts pertaining to the Cutchogue Fire Department, please contact the website team at cutfd@optonline.net or contact the firehouse.

Photos and clippings are able to be scanned and returned to the owners.

Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to this ongoing project.
