On October 8-10th representatives from the new truck committee traveled to the Spartan ERV factory in Brandon South Dakota to conduct the final inspection of the new 8-5-3.

Throughout the two days at the factory, members of CFD inspected every aspect of the new truck to ensure it was built to specifications and make any last minute modifications that may be needed.

Members also had the opportunity to operate the ladder and pump and become familiarized with the units operation.

Following the completion of a few "punch list" items we are happy to report that the truck is on its way to Long Island, and will make its first appearance in Cutchogue this week.

Once in Cutchogue the truck will undergo equipment mounting and lettering before beginning the training process with our members.
