Since its delivery a few weeks ago the the newest member of the CFD fleet has taken a major step towards being placed in service.

Lettering of the new truck was recently completed by Jim Fetten of Fetten sign co. and Firetrucklettering.com

Jim has been lettering and decorating fire apparatus for over 40 years across Long Island.

For the past two weeks Jim worked to stripe the vehicle with reflective striping that matches other CFD vehicles as well as applied gold leaf lettering and custom CFD artwork.

Radio installation and tool mounting will begin this week.

Members have begun the training process on the new truck and will spend countless hours becoming familiar with its operation, as we work towards placing the new truck in service in the near future.
