The Chiefs officers and members of the Cutchogue Fire Department would like to take this opportunity the members of the New York State Champion, Mattituck High School Girls Lacrosse team.

The team captured the state class D championship after winning their final game Saturday in the NYS finals in Cortland.

This is the first Lacrosse State Championship in school history.

To celebrate the occasion, members of the Cutchogue, Mattituck, and Southold Fire Departments, as well as the Southold Town Police escorted the team bus through town with lights and sirens on its way home to the Mattituck High School.

We would like to congratulate CFD Junior Firefighter, Ashley Burns and the entire team on your accomplishment.

Ashley is an Ex-Captian of the CFD Juniors.
