25 years ago this week, the Cutchogue Fire Department celebrated as the Panthers Drill Team was crowned the 1994 Suffolk County Old Fashioned Champions.

The drill took place on Saturday July 9th 1994 at the Town of Brookhaven Fireman's memorial Park in Ridge as part of the annual Suffolk County Parade and Drill that was hosted by the Selden Fire Department.

At the end of six events, the Panthers had accumulated 27.5 points out of a possible 30 points, taking first place in 4 of the 6 contests to become the Suffolk County Old-Fashioned Champions for the third year in a row.

This win marked the fifth County title in CFD History.

The Panther's previous wins included 1985, 1989,1992, & 1993.

The 1994 team had a successful another year and would remain among the most competitive teams in the state for the next several years.

Their accomplishments included:

The team was crowned the Suffolk County Old fashioned Total Point Champions for the second straight year.

The team is pictured celebrating their victory after the drill just before the parade.
