 Cutchogue Fire District Public Meetings and Notices

Provided as a public service announcement to the residents of the Cutchogue Fire District in compliance with the open meeting law.   

For 2017, the Board of Fire Commissioners will meet on the second  Tuesday of each month, except for the third Tuesday in December,
at 8:00 p.m. at Fire Department Headquarters, 260 New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue.  The meetings are open to the public and subject to change.

This message board will change as needed and should be monitored frequently for meeting dates and other special Fire District notices.

December 12, 2017 Election of 1-Commissioner 3-9 pm
December 19th, 2017 Regular BOFC Meeting 8 pm
January 4th, 2018 Organizational Meeting 7 pm



Be it know, that the ANNUAL ELECTION of the Cutchogue Fire District will take place on Tuesday December 12th 2017 between the hours of 3:00 pm and 9:00 p.m. at the Cutchogue Fire House located at 260 New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue, NY.  The purpose will be to elect a (1) Fire Commissioner for a 5-year term, commencing on January 1, 2018 and ending on December 31, 2022.

All residents of the Cutchogue Fire District who have registered with the County Board of Elections by November 20th, 2017 shall be eligible to vote.

Residents who wish to vote by absentee ballot may either call for mailing (734-6907) or pick up the applications at the firehouse commencing November 11th 8am.

The “Permanently Disabled” will be receiving ballots via mail on November 29th.  Last day to make application to receive a ballot by mail is December 5th.  Last day to pick up ballot at Firehouse is December 11th. Ballots must be received at the Cutchogue Firehouse by Tuesday December 12th by 5 PM. 

Candidates for District Office shall file their petition, containing their name, address, term of office and a minimum of 25 registered voters’ names and addresses of the Cutchogue Fire District, with the Secretary of the Cutchogue Fire District at 260 New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue, NY no later than November 22, 2017.
