 Cutchogue Fire District Public Meetings and Notices

Provided as a public service announcement to the residents of the Cutchogue Fire District in compliance with the open meetings law.   

For 2018, the Board of Fire Commissioners will meet on the second  Tuesday of each month, except for the third Tuesday in December, at 8:00 p.m. at Fire Department Headquarters, 260 New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue.  The meetings are open to the public and subject to change.

This message board will change as needed and should be monitored frequently for meeting dates and other special Fire District notices.

Be it known, that the ANNUAL ELECTION of the Cutchogue Fire District will take place on Tuesday December 11th, 2018 between the hours of 3:00 pm and 9:00 p.m. at the Cutchogue Fire House located at 260 New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue, NY.  The purpose will be to elect a (1) Fire Commissioner for a 5-year term, commencing on January 1, 2019 and ending on December 31, 2023.

All residents of the Cutchogue Fire District who have registered with the County Board of Elections by November 19th, 2018 shall be eligible to vote.

Residents who wish to vote by absentee ballot may either call for mailing (734-6907) or pick up the applications at the firehouse commencing November 11th 8am.

The “Permanently Disabled” will be receiving ballots via mail on November 28th.  Last day to make application to receive a ballot by mail is December 4th.  Last day to pick up ballot at Firehouse is December 10th. Ballots must be received at the Cutchogue Firehouse by Tuesday December 11th by 5 PM. 

Candidates for District Office shall file their petition, containing their name, address, term of office and a minimum of 25 registered voters’ names and addresses of the Cutchogue Fire District, with the Secretary of the Cutchogue Fire District at 260 New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue, NY no later than November 21st, 2018.

            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: That one 1987 Emergency One Class A Pumper, model Pro XLT-TC, on a Ford C8000 Chassis, with Caterpillar diesel engine and 21,000± miles, a 1250 GPM Hale Pump, a mounted 750-gallon water tank, is being offered for Public Bid as surplus equipment by the Cutchogue Fire District. Sealed bids are to be opened on October 9th, 2018, at 8:00pm at the Cutchogue Firehouse, 260 New Suffolk Rd, Cutchogue, NY 11935. 


The Cutchogue Fire District will entertain a minimum bid of $10,000.00.  Written bids must be signed by the bidder with bidder’s name, address and telephone number printed thereon, and enclosed in a sealed envelope clearly marked “1987 Class A Pumper Truck Bid”, and delivered to the Board of Fire Commissioners, Cutchogue Fire District, 260 New Suffolk Rd, Cutchogue, NY 11935 by October 9th at 8:00 PM.

If two or more bidders submit identical highest bids, the Board of Fire Commissioners shall sell the vehicle to the bid first received by the Board.  The Board reserves the right to reject all bids.  The successful bidder will be required to pay the bid amount by cash or official bank check and take delivery of the vehicle within 10 days of notification of acceptance of the bid by the Cutchogue Fire District.                 

The vehicle is available for inspection at the Cutchogue Fire House 260 New Suffolk Rd., Cutchogue, NY  11935 between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM 7days per week.  The vehicle is to be sold in “as is” condition and includes approximately 1,500 ft of 3” Fire Hose.  Other Fire Department equipment and signage will be removed by the Fire District at time of delivery.
