2010 Company Officers Take their Oath

Last night at their regular monthly meeting, the Officers of United Fire Company No.1 for the year 2010 were officially sworn into office by Chief Andrew McCaffery.

Officers are elected by the membership for 1 year terms each February, and must be approved for their respective positions by the Cutchogue Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners. After approval by the Board, the Officers are sworn in at the March meeting.

The elections of Chiefs for the Department are held annually in a separate meeting in April.
