On Saturday, the members of the Cutchogue Fire Dept. were honored to serve as the color guard for the NY Islanders Hockey Team and present the nation's colors at the afternoon game against the Winnipeg Jets at the UBS Arena.

A contigent from CFD was there as part of a company outing to cheer them on.
Our regular monthly training schedule continued on Thursday night, focusing on basic SCBA skills and emergency procedures.
On this night, we covered SCBA basics and survival skills. The members had to negotiate their way through several obstacles in a maze that was set up in our firehouse.

On Thursday afternoon at approximately 3:00 pm, the Cutchogue Fire Department was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 48 and Depot Lane.
A Southold Town Police unit came upon the 2 vehicle accident that had just occurred.
A total of three patients were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries.
Probationary Firefighter Joseph Zuhoski IV, being Sworn in By his Father FF Joseph Zuhoski III and Grandfather Ex-Chief 50 year member Joseph Zuhoski Jr.
The Cutchogue Fire Department welcomed in its two newest members, Rocco Horton and Joseph S. Zuhosk i IV during its regular monthly meeting on March 7th.
Both men were officially sworn into the department as a probationary members and represent the 622nd and 623rd members to ever serve the Cutchogue Community.
Both were members of the CFD Juniors Program and are come from firefighting families.
On Thursday Afternoon the Cutchogue Fire Department was called to assist the Southold Fire Department at the scene of a working house fire on Soundview Ave. in Southold.
Cutchogue Firefighters responded to the scene with an additional engine and upon arrival provided additional manpower on the fire ground and assisted with overhaul.
Crews operated on scene for over an hour before being released.
