As the month of June comes to a close, Cutchogue's Bravest were kept busy over the past week answering 15 calls for service.
The week included (5) multiple call days that were highlighted by (4) alarms on Saturday. There were (3) instances where multiple calls were handled at the same time.
The calls included: (10) EMS Alarms, (1) Motor Vehicle Accident, (1) Structure Fire, (2) Fire Alarms and (1) Helicopter Landing for a stroke patient.
On Sunday morning at 10:52 a.m., the Cutchogue Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of County Route 48 and Cox Lane. Responders arrived to find a two-car accident with one vehicle on its side. There were no signifigant injuries. 1 patient was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Crews were on scene for 40 minutes

Wednesday June 25th - (2) Alarms 9:00 a.m.. - EMS Alarm: West Creek Avenue 7:11 p.m. - EMS Alarm: New Suffolk Rd.
Friday June 27th – (3) Alarms 12:46 p.m. - Structure Fire - School House Rd. : the First of 3 consecutive alarms. Firefighters responded to a report of smoke in a residence. Investigation found the smoke to be coming from a malfunctioning stove. 1:00 p.m. – EMS Alarm: Mathews Lane 1:22 p.m. - EMS Alarm: Griffing St.
Saturday June 28th – (4) Alarms 12:05 p.m. – EMS Alarm: Deerfoot Path 2:50 p.m. - EMS Alarm: Nassau Point Rd. 3:00 p.m. - Helicopter Landing (Medivac): Cutchogue East School 3:31 p.m. - EMS Alarm: Cox Lane
Sunday June 29th – (3) Alarms 3:05 a.m. – Mutual Aid: Wells Avenue Peconic 10:52 p.m. – Motor Vehicle Accident: Route 48 / Cox Lane 6:12 p.m. – Fire Alarm: Vanston Rd.
Monday June 30th - (3) Alarms 3:11 p.m. - EMS Alarm - Main Rd. 3:29 p.m. - EMS Alarm - New Suffolk Rd. 7:16 p.m. - EMS Alarm - Leslie Rd.
In addition to responding to alarms, CFD members participated in a Department Training session and conducted our monthly Adopt a Highway Clean-up on County Route 48 in memory of firefighter Frank Mcbride.
