Passing of a Brother: Firefighter David C. Walker Answers his last alarm

It is with deep regret and sorrow that the Chiefs of the Cutchogue Fire Department, announce that Veteran Firefighter, David Walker has answered his last alarm.

He joined CFD in 1970 and remained on the active rolls until 1996..

After living in Sayville he moved to Cut­ch­ogue in 1970. He was a member of both Sayville and Cut­ch­ogue Fire Departments.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, Sept. 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cut­ch­ogue.

A firematic service will be held at the funeral home at 5:30 p.m.

A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cut­ch­ogue.

Burial with military honors will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.

The Chiefs, Officers and Members of the Cutchogue Fire Department would like to extend our heartfelt condolences the Walker Family all of Dave's friends here at CFD.

Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.
