It is with deep regret that the Chiefs of Cutchogue Fire Dept. announces that current Commissioner & 53 year member Sanford H. Friemann has answered his last alarm

Sandy passed away Wednesday evening at the age of 79.

He joined the Cutchogue Fire Department in 1968, and remained active on the CFD Fire Police Squad.

Sandy was currently serving on the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Cutchogue Fire District. He was elected as a
Fire Commissioner in 1993 and continued to hold this position until the time of his passing, and was a past Chairman of the Board.

The Funeral Arrangements are as follows:

Visitation:

Thursday March 11th 4-8 p.m.
Defriest-Grattan Funeral Home, 13805 Main Rd. Mattituck

Firematic Services will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services w/ Firematic Honors:

Friday March 12th at 11 am at the Our Lady of Ostrabrama Church
Located on Depot Lane in Cutchogue
Burial to follow at the Cutchogue Cemetery

The Chiefs Officers and members of the Cutchogue Fire Department wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Betty the entire Friemann Family, our Board of Fire Commissioners and all of his friends.

Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.
