Our regular monthly training schedule continued last night, focusing on ground ladders and firefighter / victim drags.

Firefighters practiced and reviewed the safe use of ground ladders on the fire ground, as well as performed some practical skills. Additionally firefighters reviewed and practiced skills and techniques used in removing victims / firefighters from a fire or other hazardous situations. Firefighters were learned to drag a victim using a variety of techniques.

Each month throughout the year we host a variety of training sessions that help us refine our skills. These drills and trainings are in addition to a schedule of Live-fire & hands on training that is held at the Suffolk County Fire Academy.
