Just after midnight on Monday morning, the Cutchogue Fire Department was activated for a Motor Vehicle Accident with injuries on Route 25 in Cutchogue in front of the Touch of Venice Restaurant.

A pick up truck travelling eastbound on Route 25 veered off the roadway striking a tree and Utility pole, just feet from the front steps of the restaurant.

The sole occupant was able to self extricate himself and was already outside the vehicle upon arrival of First Responders. He was treated by CFD Rescue Squad Personnel and was transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital for Treatment of minor Injuries.

Firefighters checked the vehicle for any hazards and checked the adjacent building for any issues resulting from damaged power and utility lines.

Crews were on scene for 30 minutes.
