Passing of a Brother: 50 year member - Charles Crofts has answered his last alarm

It is with deep regret that the Chiefs of Cutchogue Fire Dept. announces that 50 year member Charles Crofts has answered his last alarm.

"Chuck" passed away this weekend at the age of 84 after being in the care of hospice.

He joined the Cutchogue Fire Department as the 317th member, and remained active on the CFD Fire Police Squad.

The Funeral Arrangements are as follows:

Visitation:
Tuesday, May 11th from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Coster Heppner funeral home.

Fire Department services to be held at 6 p.m.

Funeral Mass:
Wednesday May 12th at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Mattituck. w/ FD honors

Burial with military honors to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.

The Chiefs Officers and members of the Cutchogue Fire Department wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Crofts Family, and all of his friends here at CFD.

Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.

May he rest in peace.
