On Sunday Morning, Water Rescue Teams from the Cutchogue and Southold Fire Departments got together for joint training.

The Departments practiced their response to a Dive Rescue in the Peconic Bay just off shore of the Nassau Point.

Crews utilizing their boats as dive platforms to search the area to recover two items from the bays bottom.

Members of the CFD Water rescue team worked with the SFD Divers, serving as tenders and support personnel while communicating and coordinating the search.

This drill served as a great opportunity for our departments to become familiar with each others equipment and capabilities of our assets.

The drill lasted approximatley 2 hours.

We look forward to more joint training throughout the summer months
