On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 4:00 p.m. The Cutchogue Fire Department was dispatched to a reported Motor Vehicle Accident on State Route #25 west of Alvah's Lane near the Downs Farm Preserve.

Police and Fire Department Units arrived to find a 2 vehicle rear end collision involving a min-bus. The bus was rear ended while stopped waiting to make a turn.

2 passengers were treated by EMS personnel and transported by ambulance to Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital for minor injuries.

Firefighters checked the vehicles for hazards and controlled the leaking fluids on the roadway. Crews remained on scene directing traffic until the vehicles could be towed and removed from the roadway

Units were on scene for 35 minutes.
