Workers on scene were able to knock down the bulk of the fire using extinquishers prior to the arrival of the FD units.

One worker was suffering from respiratory distress and was immediately treated by EMS personnel.

The first arriving units were able to control and extinquish the remaining fire using a handline from 8-5-4.

Units operated on scene for one half hour before being released from the scene.

The worker was treated and transported CFD ambulance to the Peconic Bay Medical Center for evaluation.

The fire is believed to have started as a result of a broken hydraulic line.
