On Friday CFD remained busy responding to a total of 6 alarms throughout the day.
The day's alarms began with a response to a Fire Alarm in a home on West Creek Ave. at 1:30 am.
At 4:30 a.m. Firefighters responded to a reported Motor Vehicle accident in front of the 7-11 store, on the Main Road in Cutchogue.
Firefighters arrived to find a small sedan had struck the side of a garbage truck. One driver was treated and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The firefighters worked to control any hazards and leaking fluids from the truck that were caused by the crash.
Three of the alarms included (3) consecutive EMS alarms occurring two and a half-hour period in the late morning between 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
An additional EMS alarm was received later in the evening.
