On Friday November 10th, the Southold Town Fire Chiefs Council held their annual Ex-Chiefs dinner at the North Fork Country Club in Cutchogue.
This annual event brings together the Chiefs and Past Chiefs from the area Fire Departments for a night of recognition by the Council.
The Association is comprised of all of the 8th and 10th division Fire Departments including Orient, East Marion, Greenport, Southold, Cutchogue, Mattituck, Plum Island, Fishers Island, and Shelter Island.
The Association meets on a regular basis to foster working relationships between the member departments and address common issues that pertain to the fire service of Southold Town.
This year, 16 Chiefs and Past Chiefs of the Cutchogue Fire Department attended the event hosted by the Cutchogue FD.
Council President Larry Behr of the Cutchogue Fire Deparment led the nights festivities that included recognition of the past chiefs in attendance and a special presentation to Southold Town Supervisor Scott Russell.
The Council recognized and thanked Supervior Russell for his 18 years of dedication to the volunteer firefighters of Southold Town as he finishes his tenure as Town Supervisor.
He was presented with a plaque by President Behr as a token our our appreciation for all of his support throughout the years.
The Cutchogue Fire Department would like to thank the Southold Town Fire Chiefs Council and the catering staff of the North Fork Country Club for hosting another enjoyable night.
Thank you to the North Fork Country Club for your continued support of CFD and all of our first responders throughout the years.
Your support is truly appreciated.
