Thursday Afternoon MVA

On Thursday afternoon at approximately 3:00 pm, the Cutchogue Fire Department was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 48 and Depot Lane.

A Southold Town Police unit came upon the 2 vehicle accident that had just occurred.

A total of three patients were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries.

While the patients were treated by EMS personnel, firefighters controlled any hazards and assisted in cleaning and removing the vehicles from the roadway.

An passing East Marion FD ambulance who was returning from a prior call stopped and assisted at the scene in rendering care.

The crew from EMFD would further assist by transporting 1of the patients to ELIH in Greenport.

CFD Fire police units assisted the police with traffic control.

Crews were on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
