On Wednesday night, around 5:20 p.m. a fire broke out at the Well s Farm located on Sound Ave. in Aquebogue. The Riverhead Fire Department, along with mutual aid fire departments from the area, responded to the scene to fight the large blaze.

The Cutchogue Fire Department was among the multiple Fire Departments and other agencies that would respond.

The fire engulfed a large barn and other buildings on the property. Initial first responders were able to rescue several animals from the barn as the fire spread.

CFD was called to assist RFD by providing an ambulance at the scene. During the night, Rescue Squad members would transport (1) injured person to Peconic Bay Medical Center before returning back to the scene. 8-5-17 would remain on scene for nearly 3 hours before returning to home.

There would be RFD and units various assisting agencies would remain at the scene throughout Wednesday night conducting extensive overhaul and mop-up operations to ensure that any hot spots were extinguished.
