This week, we marked a huge milestone for our new firehouse project.

On Wednesday, crews from Jernick Moving and Storage began the long process of moving the contents of the CFD Annex and storage into our new Firehouse.

This is the first step, as we look forward to becoming fully operational in our new home for the start of 2026.

The first step, includes moving all of the administrative functions of the Fire District and the Department to the new building.

Moving crews were busy moving furniture, office equipment, computers and important items to the new home.

Construction crews continue working to finish minor details in the project as well as complete our communications upgrades.

Once this is complete, we will move our apparatus and emergency response operations into the building.

Last week, some of the apparatus was backed into the building for the first time as some of the new buildings' features were tested. This included the diesel exhaust system for the apparatus.

The members of the Cutchogue Fire Department thank our community for your continued support as we embark on this new endeavor.

As a reminder, CFD has worked diligently to ensure that we remain fully operational and prepared to respond to any emergencies during the construction project.

***For the time being, all Emergency Equipment and communications equipment is still operating from our storage buildings on the District property across from the firehouse.

A dedicated houseman is on hand from 7am to 11pm for any assistance. All business and inquiries should be directed there as the new building is not yet open to the public, and the CFD annex has been vacated.
