| The Cutchogue Fire Department was called to assist at a fire at Goldberg's Famous Bagels in Mattituck on Monday afternoon.
The fire began around noon in the shop, which is located in the Mattituck Shopping Plaza on Main Road.
The fire was located in the back storage room and was contained by the building's sprinkler system. Smoke from the fire filled several adjacent stores and businesses in the shopping center.
The Mattituck, Cutchogue, and Jamesport Fire Departments responded to the scene.
Cutchogue Fire Department was requested to respond with an engine.
Once on scene the crew worked along side Jamesport and Mattituck Firefighter to checking the other stores for any fire extension.
The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental. |
