| Fire prevention week activities continued for CFD on Wednesday and Thursday as members visited the North Fork Discoveries Pre-school in Cutchogue and welcomed the Hallockville farm hands pre-school and home learners to our firehouse as part of the 2026 Fire Safety Program.
With special assistance from Sparky the fire dog, the children had the opportunity to visit with the firefighters and tour the department's fire trucks they learned about safety and about the many skills and tools that the firefighters and EMT's use.
Sparky even helped the children use a real fire hose.
Everyone had a great time.
Thank you to North Fork Discoveries for inviting us to be a part of your morning, and everyone that for visited us at CFD.
The officers and members of the Cutchogue Fire Department would like to thank everyone who helped make our 2026 Fire prevention programs a success.
The week was closed out on Saturday when the Board of Fire Commissioners held an open house and invited the community to stop by for tours of our new firehouse and equipment.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by and has supported us throughout the project. |
