On Thursday August 21st at 9:30 a.m. the Cutchogue Fire Deparment along with other area marine units were dispatched to assist the United States Coast Guard for a reported vessel taking on water in the Peconic Bay.

CFD's fire-rescue boat along with responders from USCG Station Shinnecock, North Sea FD, Southold Town Police Marine unit, and Sea Tow responded.

The vessel was located in the bay in an area south west of Robins Island. Sea-Tow was the first to arrive on scene and imediatley began to assist the boat owners with dewatering the boat.
