Former CFD Firefighter Timothy Smith is Honored for Rescue

Recently Former CFD Firefighter Timothy Smith was honored by Panama City Beach Officials for his part in a heroic rescue that saved the life of an elderly female from a fire in her mobile home.

Tim is currently employed as a career firefighter with the Panama City Beach Fire Department in Florida. Tim was hired in Florida after beginning his firefighting career here in Cutchogue. Tim was also a former CFD Junior fighter who went on to join the ranks of the Cutchogue Fire Department following in his father Jeff's footsteps.

The officers and members ofthe Cutchogue Fire Department would like to offer our congratulations to Tim and his fellow crew members that day. Keep up the good work.

The Cutchogue Fire Department is the proud home to a large group of CFD Alumni inculding Tim, that have began thier firefighting and careers in public safety here in Cutchogue and continue to serve communities in other states.
