The Officers and members of the Cutchogue Fire Department would like to extend our congratulations to former CFD firefighter Danny Lynch on being a part of NASCAR driver Joey Logano's winning team today at the Daytona 500 in Florida.

Danny is currently a crew member on the #22 Penzoil race car of the Penske Racing team driven by Joey Logano.

The 500 mile stock car race that Logano won today is considered to be the most prestigious race in the NASCAR circuit.

Danny was an active member of the Cutchogue Fire Department for several years after moving up through the CFD junior firefighter program. He also participated on the Panthers Drill team for several seasons before moving south to the Charlotte, North Carolina area in the mid 2000's to pursue a career in NASCAR.

In 2012, he was featured in local news article highlighting his love for the fire service and NASCAR.
