After weeks of cold weather and spring snow, it appeared that Spring had finally arrived this weekend on the North Fork.

With temperatures in the 60's members took advantage of the nice weather to train on the Department's Brush Truck.

A group of members spent the morning reviewing the operations of the truck and re-familiarize themselves with its equipment in preparation of the spring and summer brush fire seasons.

Because of its all wheel drive and off road capability, the truck is equipped for storm response during the winter months. The truck's cage gets covered with a storm cover to protect the crew from the elements and additional equipment is added for High water rescues, and blizzard responses.

In recent years this truck has become a valuable asset in CFD's fleet.
