CFD Responds to Smoke in A Residence

On Wednesday Night April 10th CFD Firefighters were dispatched to a Signal 13 "Smoke in a residence " on Cox lane in Cutchogue.

Firefighters arrived to find a smell of smoke in a mobile home, coming from an unknown source.

After controlling the utilities, firefighters were able to trace the source of the smoke to an electrical issue related to one of the household appliances.

Units were on scene for approximately 45 minutes.

Just as units were clearing from the scene, CFD was dispatched to a second call in our district, an EMS alarm in New Suffolk.
