On Friday August 16th, the Cutchogue Fire Department took delivery of a new Fire Police Unit that was build by Proliner of Medford.

Built on a Ford f550 chassis, the new unit has a custom built rescue type body that was custom designed for our needs.

It will hold various equipment that will be used during large Fire Police operations such as MVA's, as well as carry additional equipment to support fire ground and rescue operations.

Some features include:
4-door cab
Increased storage
Slide out traffic cone holder
Floodlighting and light tower
Variable message board and traffic arrow.

This vehicle will be replacing an aging 25 year old ambulance that was converted to a fire police unit.

Over the will be lettered and equipment will be mounted in order to prepare it for service.

Thank you to the Board of Fire Commissioners and everyone who has worked on this project.
