On Wednesday afternoon, members of of CFD joined the community in welcoming home Cutchogue resident Rick Horton after a long battle with the COVID-19 virus.

Mr. Horton had beat the odds, after spending the past 4 weeks in the intensive care unit of Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, recieving treatment for the COVID-19.

To date, he is only the 2nd ventilated patient to be released from PBMC.

Several of Rick's friends and family organized an impromptu Welcome Home "Drive-by" parade to show their support for Rick and his family.

Several of CFD's trucks joined the large caravan of vehicles filled well-wishers that drove by Rick's home to wish and his family him well.

Rick is the father of CFD Lt. Ricky Horton and the brother of our Senior Lt. Timothy Horton.

The Officers and Members of CFD join together to welcome him home and send best wishes for a speedy recovery.
