CFD responded to a Paddleboarder in distress in the waters off Nassau Point on Saturday, afternoon of September 18th.
The incident took place at 1:18 p.m. off the shores of Nassau Point, in Cutchogue Harbor near Fisherman's Beach
An adult female was on her paddleboard when she became faint and ill. Unable to continue, her husband alertly dialed 911 requesting Medical assistance.
The Cutchogue Fire Department, along Southold Town Police Bay Constables, were dispatched to the area..
Cutchogue Fire departments Fire-Rescue Boat 8-5-10 left it's berth in New Suffolk and quickly arrived on scene and located the paddle boarder.
She was then transferred over to the Cutchogue Fire Department's Boat for treatment by EMS personnel and brought to the New Suffolk boat ramp.
Once on land in New Suffolk, she was evaluated in the ambulance and ultimately refused any further medical assistance and was brought home by family.
