Mourning a Loss: Ex- Commissioner & 59 year member Robert Doroski has answered his last alarm

It is with Great Sadness that the Chiefs announce that 59 Year member & Ex-Commissioner Robert Doroski has answered his last alarm.

Bob passed away Saturday at his home.

He joined CFD in March of 1963 as Department's 268th member.

He served as a Fire Commissioner of the Cutchogue Fire District from 1986-1996 and continued to remain active on the CFD Fire Police Squad.

Throughout the years held several positions and was the chairman of the CFD Chicken Barbecue in 1973. He worked the event each year on the pit committee helping to cook the chicken for our 3000 guests.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 4th from 6-8 P.M. at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck.

Firematic Services will be rendered at 7:00 P.M.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 5th at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Ostrabrama Roman Catholic Church. Members will be asked to meet at HQ at a time TBA.

The Rite of Committal will be private.

The Chiefs, Officers and Members of the Cutchogue Fire Department wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Marie, the entire Doroski family, all of his friends and fellow responders here at CFD.

Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.

May he rest in peace.
