We are only a few days away from our Recruitment Open House to be held this Saturday April 23rd form 10:00 am- 2:00pm. and the weather is looking great!

As part of RecruitNY Weekend, the Cutchogue FD will open its doors as they join volunteer fire departments across New York to raise public awareness regarding the need for volunteers and to highlight the rewards of being a member of a volunteer fire department.

We invite the entire community to visit us Saturday at the firehouse for a day of activities. This is a great oppurtunity for you meet the Volunteer Firefighters and EMT's serving your community.

If you have ever wanted to be a Firefighter, EMT or Fire Police, this is a great oppurtunity to learn how you can give back to your community as new members are always needed.

We have planned several activities activities throughout the day for visitors. Families and children are welcome.

Throughout the day, the CFD will conduct tours of the station and apparatus, allow visitors to try on gear, demonstrate firefighting activities, provide information, and address questions on becoming a member

The day will also feature a demonstration by a Suffolk County Police Helicoptor that will land 11:00 at the firehosue and and be on hand for tours.

Other activites will include a Vehicle Extrication demonstration, free blood pressure screening by our Rescue Squad, and other hands-on and interactive activities.

Hot dogs and refreshments will be served.

Here is the agenda for the day -

- 10:00 the doors open to the public

- 11:00 the SCPD helicopter will be landing and giving tours of the helicopter.

- 12:00 the helicopter departs

- 12:15 CFD band

- 12:30 Vehicle extrication demonstration

- 1:30 - 2:00 Dsiplays and tours continue

As you can see, we have a full day planned with great activities for our community. We hope you all can make it!!
