| The year officially concluded for the Cutchogue Fire Department on Wednesday evening, when the last call of 2025 was recorded.
The final call for service occurred on New Year’s Eve at 4:30 p.m., marking the department’s 567th call of the year.
With this total, 2025 became the busiest year in the department’s history, surpassing the previous record of 527 calls set in 2012.
The new year began for the Cutchogue Fire Department on Thursday afternoon. The first call for 2026 was received at 1:14 p.m., for an EMS alarm on Alvah’s Lane.
On New Year’s Day, the department also responded to two additional calls: a mutual aid request to the Southold Fire Department for a structure fire at a local supermarket and another EMS alarm later in the evening.
The Chiefs, Officers, and Members of the Cutchogue Fire Department thank the community for their ongoing support throughout 2025, and look forward to serving you in 2026.
As the department enters its 98th year of service, the Cutchogue Fire Department wishes the entire community a safe, healthy, and prosperous new year.
