On Friday and Saturday evening the Cutchogue Fire Department responded to 3 separate Motor Vehicle accidents as familes travelled to celebrate the Easter Holiday.

On Friday evening CFD responded to 2 accidents within 1 hour apart.

The first accident occurred at 4:07 p.m. located on Route 48 at the intersection of Bridge lane. A vehicle crossing the highway struck an oncoming vehicle causing the vehicle to roll over coming to rest on top of a fire hydrant. The driver was able to climb out with assistance of passing motorists. 1 patient would be transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

Nearly an hour later at 5:27 p.m. CFD would again be dispatched for a Motor Vehicle Accident on County Route 48. This accident occurred at the inter section of Route 48 and Alvah's lane. Police and Fire department units arrived to find a 2 vehicle accident involving a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was treated and transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Crews were on scene for approximately 30 minutes directing traffic and controlling any hazards until the roadway could be cleared.

On Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. CFD responded to the third accident of the weekend when they were dispatched an accident in Cutchogue village in front of the Touch of Venice Restraunt. A Single vehicle had ran off the roadway and struck a parked vehicle and a tree. The lone occupant was not injured.
