The Cutchogue Fire Department is proud of our 93 years of dedicated service to the community. We are always looking for any old & historical articles representing our past for display on our website and in our firehouse.

These images are from 1964 and depict Members conducting the annual testing of the fire wells throughout the district. In the photo members are pumping the fire well that was located in front of the historic "old House on Cases lane using the 1959 American LaFrance Engine 8-5-3.

This practice still continues to this day as earlier month as members completed the testing of the remaining fire wells over a two week period, as shown in the very similar pictures taken 57 years apart.

The Images are from the CFD Archives and part of a collection taken by Ex-Chief Matt Martin.

If any member of the community has any photographs, newspaper clippings or historical artifacts pertaining to the Cutchogue Fire Department, please contact the website team at cutfd@optonline.net or contact the firehouse at 734-6907.

Photos and clippings are able to be scanned and returned to the owners.

Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to this ongoing project.
