20 years ago today, on February 3, 2000, Cutchogue Firefighters responded to a large barn Fire at the Zaneski Farm on Oregon Rd. in Cutchogue.

Battling freezing and winter conditions much like today, firefighters from Cutchogue and 6 other North Fork Fire Departments battled the blaze for several hours before bringing it under control.

During this fire, Firefighters utilized a tanker shuttle and layed over a mile of supply hose to battle the blaze and supply water to the scene.

The Cutchogue Fire Department is proud of our 92 years of dedicated service to the community. We are always looking for any old & historical articles representing our past for display on our website and in our firehouse.

Images are from the CFD Archives.

If any member of the community has any photographs, newspaper clippings or historical artifacts pertaining to the Cutchogue Fire Department, please contact the website team at cutfd@optonline.net or contact the firehouse at 734-6907.

Photos and clippings are able to be scanned and returned to the owners.

Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to this ongoing project.
