The Cutchogue Fire Department is proud of our 86 years of dedicated service to the community. We are always looking for any old & historical articles representing our past for display on our website and in our firehouse.

The following items are part of collection of historical items that were recently donated to CFD by the family of Ex-Chief William Midgley who recently passed away.

The items pictured include a poster and an a flyer advertising our now famous Annual Chicken Barbecue.

Since 1957 the Cutchogue Fire Department has hosted this annual event on the 4th saturday in August, and has now grown to serve over 3000 people each year, making it become a North Fork tradition.

Ex-Chief Midgley along with many other members of CFD over the past 58 years, have been instrumental in making this event what is is today.

Thank you to the members of the Midgley family for donating these items in his memory.

Check back often for additional items that will be posted as part of "Flashback Friday."

If any member of the community has any photographs, newspaper clippings or historical artifacts pertaining to the Cutchogue Fire Department, please contact the website team at cutfd@optonline.net or contact the firehouse at 734-6907.

Photos and clippings are able to be scanned and returned to the owners.

Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to this ongoing project.
