It is with great sadness that the Chiefs Announce the passing of Paramedic Richard Hartmann

Rich passed away yesterday at Hampton Care Center in Southampton surrounded by family.

He was 81 years old.

Rich joined CFD in 1998 as member #463. He served as a paramedic, and a past Rescue Squad Captain

Rich was EMT of the year in 2002 & 2009 and was always among some of the most active CFD Rescue Squad ... (Full Story & Photos)

Mutual Aid - CFD Assists Mattituck FD at House fire

On Saturday Evening at 10:22 pm CFD Volunteers were dispatched to assist the Mattituck Fire Department at the scene of a house fire on North Drive in Mattituck.

MFD units under the direction of First Assistant Chief Bobby Haas arrived to find a working fire in the rear portion of the home.

The Cutchogue Fire Dept. was requested to respond to the scene with a Rapid Intervention Team. (R.I.T.)

No Caption Register Now! : Join us for the 12th Annual Stuff The Sleigh 5k - Sunday December 8th

On Sunday December 8th the Cutchogue Fire Department will host its Tenth Annual "Stuff The Sleigh 5k Race and walk".

Now in it's 12th year, the race raises money for the Cutchogue Fire Department Scholarship fund and other charities supported by CFD. A portion of the proceeds will support donations to the American Parkinsons Diesase Assosciation and the Firefighters Cancer Support Network and CAST.

Area Firefighters responded to a fast moving fire that destroyed a Greenport home on Saturday afternoon November 16th.

On Saturday at about 1:00 p.m. Cutchogue Firefighters were called to assist the Greenport Fire Department as they responded to a reported structure fire on Angler Lane in Greenport.
